well, hello!

one of the toughest years of my life, will end with one of the biggest miracles!

i've missed you!  life has been a little nuts over the last year(s), but i'll kick things off with some incredible news!  doug and i were in the middle of embracing a heartbreaking diagnosis of infertility (and impending hysterectomy) when the most amazing miracle surprised both us and my doctors - a sweet baby boy who is due to arrive in december!  i am still in complete shock and at a loss for words.  i can say i'm 23 weeks along and thankful to be feeling better than i've felt in years!  thank you for all your kind support and concern in the meantime.  i'm slowly picking back up the neglected pieces of my life, and hope to even share some work with everyone here soon!  i'm just taking it one tiny babystep at a time.  winkyface!

  19. Congratulations! I have come back to this blog periodically, wondering if/when you would be back! This is great news! My husband and I have been down a road like yours, and we have two beautiful sons who we adopted, our greatest treasures on earth. Sam is 5 and Ben is 2, and you'll still catch me knitting up little things for them all the time. I'm sure there are some handknits they've never even worn before, there are just sooo many! Good luck, and enjoy all the happy times ahead!!

  24. I was going through my old bookmarks and decided to check in on your blog. So glad I did. Happy news! How exciting! Best wishes to you and husband and little baby boy. I'm an Ivf mom - so know the struggle can be hard... Glad to read your happy news. (Also, maybe I misunderstood years ago but thought you had a daughter? Secondary infertility? No matter, happy to see you're back... And knitting!)
