top: instruction booklet and beginner dishcloth in lion brand cotton-ease from this pattern
bottom: needles for students and my fieldguided thunder bag (based on the kate bush song that's on constant repeat in our house) holding all my stuffs

i taught a volunteer knitting class last week. it was wild! i scoured all my books and resources to try to find an easy project to start with, and i think this dishcloth pattern fit the bill. i really enjoyed knitting up the samples and realized i need more mindless, small knitting projects in my life. they are so rewarding!

  1. I'm taking an introductory knitting course and this is one of the choices we were given to make as well! We were given the pattern but there wasn't a picture so I wasn't sure what they were going to look like. Your post couldn't have come at a better time!

  3. I've become a bit of a knitting instructor too! it's so much fun, we just sit and knit and drink tea like proper english ladies. those dishcloths look great! and I LOVE Kate Bush, I've been keeping an eye on that back. my brother and I went through a whole summer of hanging out near the village where she lives (in Devon) in the hope we'd see her...never did.

  5. This is great!

I've just started knitting, and my mom wants us to try cotton dish cloths like that. She's visiting me in a few weeks, I'm asking her to bring her wool!
