i taught a volunteer knitting class last week. it was wild! i scoured all my books and resources to try to find an easy project to start with, and i think this
dishcloth pattern fit the bill. i really enjoyed knitting up the samples and realized i need more mindless, small knitting projects in my life. they are so rewarding!
I'm taking an introductory knitting course and this is one of the choices we were given to make as well! We were given the pattern but there wasn't a picture so I wasn't sure what they were going to look like. Your post couldn't have come at a better time!
ReplyDeletethese are beautiful- i'm making a couple of dishcloths right now too, just to have some instant gratification!
ReplyDeleteI've become a bit of a knitting instructor too! it's so much fun, we just sit and knit and drink tea like proper english ladies. those dishcloths look great! and I LOVE Kate Bush, I've been keeping an eye on that back. my brother and I went through a whole summer of hanging out near the village where she lives (in Devon) in the hope we'd see her...never did.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love your blog so much. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
ReplyDeleteI've just started knitting, and my mom wants us to try cotton dish cloths like that. She's visiting me in a few weeks, I'm asking her to bring her wool!
Hearts!
ReplyDeleteok, how weird is it that i told you i was making these and then i see you are too. creepy. twilight zone. also, i have people begging... BEGGING me to teach them how to knit but i have no clue how to do that. tips?!
ReplyDeleteLove the dish cloths! I am wondering where the knitting instruction booklet is from... mind sharing?
