the fall always makes me want to pack up my stuff and move to scandinavia, but Wallander on sunday nights, not being able to purchase swedish postage stamps over here without your bank thinking your card was stolen (not that I'D be dumb enough to try it, or anything), and crazy finnish music being on constant repeat in the house sure isn't helping. dream on, elly!

  1. I'm so stuck on Wallander, and talk about Scandinavia, we just redecorated our bedroom in the Nordic esthetic.

  2. Wow, that music is all kinds of amazing! As are the stamps.

  3. If you lived closer to NY there are two cool Norwegian ladies in concert in Brooklyn: http://www.norway.org/News_and_events/Culture/Music/Oya-Festivalen-at-CMJ-in-New-York/

  4. I became a Finnish citizen last year, so I also have pretty intense thoughts of moving to Scandinavia - even though I haven't set foot in Finland since I was four!

  5. I love Wallander!! I love that you linked to the Kenneth Branagh version too. It does have a nicer colour pallet than the original, although the original is with REAL Swedish people. And there always seems to be a character called Tove or Tova in every episode.

  6. Have you read the Wallander books? They are wonderful. I'm nearly done the books, and I can't wait to start the BBC series.
