i have been so fortunate to only have had one cold so far this year, early on, once it started to get chillier. word. take that, fall 09! but for the sake of being prepared, i'm trying to decide which teakettle i should get to replace the nasty, corroded one i just tossed. you can tell it's getting to be that time of the year where you have to make one too many consumer choices, because i'm stuck. help? this no teakettle thing is crampin' my fika, people! and while i'm at it, i'm tempted to see if i can get the bank to seize my credit card by making another overseas debit purchase on those swedish teas!
Oh wow, those two enamel ones are so classic and amazing (and a nice price!). They're Paula Deen? Whaaa? I thought for sure they were Euro! That flecked blue enamel makes me think of my grandmother.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the ones on the left side - very classic. If you want to go more modern, you could try this one sold in the MOMA store:

Hälsingnar från snöigt Sverige!
ReplyDeleteBlue enamel is awesome.
Kobbs Te is the best! I'll be taking some home to NZ with me in a few weeks when I leave here (sad...). Are you able to buy it online? (If not I'd be happy to help from here!)
And if you're serious about those postage stamps, perhaps I could help there too. They are pretty sweet...
ReplyDeleteSo perfect! All they need now is tea cozies.
ReplyDeleteoh these are all so great! we need a new one too...
ReplyDeleteLove those enamel ones, my problem is that if there's no whistle, I will let it boil dry. Also I second the 'I can't believe it's Paula Deen' on those two, srsly!
ReplyDeleteOh I love those Swedish teas. I brought some back last year. I've been thinking about Sweden a lot lately:)!
ReplyDeleteI know, I never thought i'd be siding with PAULA DEEN!!! Wow. I think I might have to give one a try. Still not totally decided, and I should get my act in gear, since I could really use a tea kettle today (cough, cough)!
ReplyDeleteFiona and Chelsea, I can't find a good way to purchase that tea from across the pond! Fiona, it's time to leave?! Heartbreaking! I'd LOVE to do a swedish swap with you - how awesome! Let me know if it'd work out!
As I was buying teas to take home today, I remembered I suggested this to you (sorry for this super slow reply).
ReplyDeleteDo you want to email me at fiona dot kirkcaldie at gmail dot com and we can chat about how this could work?
I'm leaving in a week and it is indeed heartbreaking, even with the promise of hot summer weather down under...
