- Created: july 20th, 2009
- Pattern: my own, with the help of the incredible custom fit raglan sweater instructions. very similar to jenny's birthday sweater , but i wanted to take the time to tweak the neckline and collar this time.
- Yarn: plymouth yarn "galway" in heather grey
- Thoughts: i spent the last couple of months casually knitting this sweater, but last week was when i started knitting it non-stop until i finished. we've been getting a lot of good movies from the library and i haven't been feeling great, so i'd use that time at night to knit and relax - the best! last minute, i thought of adding the shawl collar so i did some research and after some trial and error, used the short row method to get the shaping on the collar that i wanted. i'm really pleased with the result and now can't wait to wear it in the fall!

ReplyDeleteLOVE it! that color of yarn is beautiful! it looks so lovely on you and suits you to perfection (great with that dress). i love the old version too, just so you know!
ReplyDeleteah, this gives me inspiration...i had to rip out the shawl collar of the cardigan I'm making- didn't look quite right- but i'm determined to get it down! knitting in the evenings is the best, i agree. :)
